Dr. Shannon Barrett is a resident of Isle of Palms and a South Carolina native. She obtained her first undergraduate degree from Clemson University and a second undergraduate degree from California State University. Her doctorate in veterinary medicine was earned from Western University of Health Sciences in southern California, where she graduated with honors. She has worked at several veterinary clinics in California and the Carolinas. After practicing emergency medicine , Dr. Barrett and her husband wanted a calmer pace of life, where she could get to know her patients and her clients. She also owns Downward Paws, an online resource for pet health topics. She loves the Charleston area and looks forward to meeting you and your furry friends!
